Creative Journey - A Daily Dose of Creativity Week 15

So my knee is still bad, I am much better after physio but still limping and using a cane, still have swelling.  I went for an ultrasound this week to get it checked out. It wasn't the way I planned to spend my birthday but at least we are hopefully going to get some answers.   I managed to have another productive week.


Monday

Started an owl sketch

And added some colour

Worked on a doily banner for the weekend.

And worked on the hat

Tuesday

More colour and doodles being added.

put up decorations for the party on the weekend.

Wednesday

Adding more colour to the sketch

Worked on the lat while Tutu nursed and napped on me and finished crocheting the hat.

Thursday

still working on the background

working on a  new crochet project in the waiting room, while waiting for an ultrasound for my knee.

Monkey was trying on her communion dress, my mom did most of the sewing but I did the wreath and the veil. After this try on we made some more changes.

At emerg with Tutu and working on a bow tie for him while he sleeps and we wait for the Dr.

Finally weaved the ends of the blanket and it was ready for gifting.

Creative Journey - A Daily Dose of Creativity Week 12

I am posting this a bit early but I have a special post for tomorrow. Well it's back to work for me tomorrow, I hope that I am up for it.  I did manage to get a few projects done this week

Monday

 My mom and I started working on Monkey`s Communion dress

And started a flower to go on the dress

And I screwed up the blanket I was working on. 

Tuesday

I sewed the pennants for Tutu`s birthday decorations

I did a sketch

And finished the flower pin for Monkey`s dress

Wednesday

I rolled some cake pops for Tutu`s party

I worked on my crocheting while helping Monkey with her math homework


Thursday

Coated the Elmo cake pops in chocolate and added the eyes, nose and mouth

Friday

Added "fur" to the Elmos

And worked on the blanket, I added the ruffle

Saturday

I made Elmo and Cookie Monster fruit trays for Tutu`s 2nd Birthday party.

Today I worked on the blanket some more, it`s almost finished but I haven't gotten around to taking a picture yet.

 

 

I hope that everyone had a creative week and produced a lot of stuff. Hope the upcoming week is as creative.

Fabric Flower Bib Necklace

So today was a good day on the creative front. I baked 4 cakes (2 chocolate and 2 vanilla) so I can do a test run of a birthday cake for Muffin's 3rd birthday. I'm going to try decorating it with fondant. I can't believe how expensive ready made fondant is, I ended up buying a dry fondant mix. Hopefully it will turn out OK. Tomorrow I will try and decorate it so we can enjoy it on Muffin's birthday on Wednesday. If it works out then I will make another cake for her party on Saturday.

This evening I also was working with the fabric flowers I made the other day. I ended up making a bib necklace. I think it turned out cute. Tomorrow I will post pictures of it on. But for now here are the pictures of it done and in progress.

And to keep me on my creative streak my copy of Where Women Create came in the mail today. Can`t wait to get some time to sit, read and enjoy it.

And since I have extra flowers tomorrow I will be working on something to make with them.
