Creative Journey Week 43

I can't believe it's believe I've been doing this for over 40weeks, it all started here.  I have been doing at least one creative act everyday for over 40 weeks now.  There has been days when I haven't taken a picture of what I have done every day but I have been creative.

So Thursday was my surgery, it almost got cancelled but the surgeon fought for me and I went in for surgery late.  I don't normally react well to anesthetic so it took me hours to recover. I went in for surgery at 3:30 and we didn't leave the hospital until after 9:30pm. Poor Rock, it was a long day for him.  I am doing ok, resting and resisting the urge to get up and go. Working on projects but not completing them as fast as I would like.  Ha ha, I guess I should give myself a few days to recover.

Theses are some of the things on my to-do list over the next few weeks; Halloween costumes,  birthday invites, creative activity for the party, loot bags,Christmas cards, get my Etsy shop up and running, new blog, Christmas presents, inventory for the shop, sew a new purse etc. See big list, let's see what I actually get done.

If you want to see what I am up to on a daily basis you can check me out on facebook or twitter.

Tuesday

Almost done making a second hat for Tutu

Wednesday
working on the hat in the car on the way to work.

The girls got invited to a birthday party on Saturday so they asked me to sketch them something to colour for the cards.

Thursday

I had finished Tutu's hat and forgot to take a picture of it. I started this hat when my surgery was originally scheduled and by the time I got called it I had almost finished the hat minus about 5 rows.

Friday
Tutu spent the whole day beside me watching over me. He played with the ITouch while I crocheted.

The 2 finished hats

Finishing off the scales for the girl's mermaid costumes. So behind on the costumes this year. Life has gotten in the way.

Made and added a flower on the hat and were giving it as a present for the birthday party.

Started on a new hat.  My friends are worried I may run out of yarn the next few weeks.  Although I did make my mom go out and get me some mustard coloured yarn so I could make myself a cowl at some point.

Saturday

Not the best picture of me but this is where I am spending my recovery period, usually with all 3 monkeys in bed with me.

Progress on the newest hat

The finished hat.

Sunday
Started on a new hat for some custom orders.

Halloween costume central, my mom and I trying to figure things out.

I had crafters ADD and 4 projects on the go. I was waiting for my mom to sew things on the machine and bring them to me so I could work on the next steps.

Progress on Tutu's dinosaur costume.

I guess I got a lot more done then I thought I did.

I hope everyone had a creative and productive week, and the upcoming week is as productive and creative.

Creative Journey - A Daily Dose of Creativity Week 38

I can't believe it's believe I've been doing this for over 30 weeks, it all started here.  I have been doing at least one creative act everyday for over 30 weeks now.  There has been days when I haven't taken a picture of what I have done every day but I have been creative.

So I was a bit more productive this week. I just wish I had the energy and the time to do everything that comes to mind or on my to-do list.

If you want to see what I am up to on a daily basis you can check me out on facebook or twitter.

Monday

adding colour to my sketch

7pm the girls ask me to make them flower headbands for picture day the next day. Of course I was able to pull it off (barely).

Tuesday
The girls before school in their headbands

Another sketch done

Wednesday
playing with flowers, just sketching

Adding some colour and loving it.

I was gifted a garbage bag of vintage wool. I pulled out a selection to work on a blanket for my Godson's Baptism.

Started working on the blanket. Because I'm using a 3 strand mix of yarn and a bog hook its working up fast.

Thursday
progress on the blanket, you can see the subtle hue changes with all the different yarns used.

Friday
A new doodle sketch

Saturday
Weaving in all the ends from all the yarn changes. It is taking forever.

Sunday
Started working on the girls' Halloween costumes. Cutting out many scales for mermaid tails. Sorry for the bad lighting but my mother "borrowed" my Ott light and it makes such a difference when taking pictures at night. I may need to get it back :).

I hope everyone had a creative and productive week, and the upcoming week is as productive and creative.

Creative Journey - A Daily Dose of Creativity Week 18

So I am getting more active, not like before but better.  I do have to ice/heat after it but I am getting moving.  I was trying to get a lot of creative stuff done but I was also trying to get the house ready for FIL's visit so I didn't get as much done as I would have liked.

If you want to see what I am up to on a daily basis you can check me out on facebook or twitter.

Monday

I started a sketch of the family, but scrapped it because I didn't like it.

Tuesday

It was Spirit Week at school and it was dress as your favorite literary character, for a 7 year old it's Pinkalicous.  I turned one cute kid into her favorite character.

And I started a new doodle sketch.

Wednesday
Pinning a hem on new curtains for Monkey's room

And I restarted the baby blanket with a new yarn.

Thursday

It was crazy hair an dpj day at school. I think we got the crazy hair part down. I chalked her hair and they crazied it up.

And worked on the sketch some more.

I also worked on  the curtains some more but I didn't get a picture of it. I pt them up but I never finished hemming them. I will do that after FIL leaves.

Friday

Worked some more on the sketch.

 And crocheted some more

Saturday

Crocheted in the car ride down to The Beaches

And I crocheted at the park while the kids played. And yes I am the mother that your curse because my kids take off their shoes at the park and our kids want to follow.  It's just easier then chasing them and trying to keep them on. I pick my battles.

And then I crocheted at another park. This rarely happens when I can do it so I took full advantage of it.

took some pictures of the super moon.

Sunday
Crocheting in the car down to Kensington.

The girls working on Mother's Day cards with their new art supplies; oil pastels, watercolour pencils and Mr. Sketch markers. While I tried to sleep off a fever on the couch (didn't work).

And I bounced between the blanket and the scarf today.  Need to get both done by next weekend. Hopefully that will happen.

I hope everyone had a creative and productive week, And the upcoming week and  as productive and creative.
