Creative Journey - A Daily Dose of Creativity Week 33

I can't believe it's believe I've been doing this for over 30 weeks, it all started here.  I have been doing at least one creative act everyday for over 30 weeks now.  There has been days when I haven't taken a picture of what I have done every day but I have been creative.

This week wasn't bad in terms of productivity. There was some really productive days and some not so much I am trying to juggle creating while doing research and reading as well.

If you want to see what I am up to on a daily basis you can check me out on facebook or twitter.

Monday

 Working on my newest sketch

Fixed the ear and made another headband

Tuesday

The owl hat completed

Progress on the sketch, adding a border

Wednesday
Another headband made

More progress on the sketch

Thursday

Finished the sketch, my poor Cerise marker died at the end. :( It was such a fun colour.

Even more headbands, the girls wanted some too and lets me see how they will stand up to young girl abuse.

Friday
Collecting images to collage my Right Brain Business Plan

I also baked 6 dozen cupcakes

Saturday
Starting on a bow-tie while waiting for the Go Train on the way home from the Ex

Got the main part of the bow done

The following pictures where taken to day but the work was done yesterday.

I did face painting with the girls, ignore Monkey's messy face, she had just finished eating.

And cut out cupcake wrappers with the Cricut and made chocolate cupcakes with and orange cream cheese icing.

Sunday

Made Rock a fancier then normal bacon and eggs

Finished the bow-tie for my Godson's 1st birthday today. Yup, I got it in my head the day before that I was going to do this, but thankfully I got it done.

Tutu and my Godson in the bow-ties I made them.

I hope everyone had a creative and productive week, and the upcoming week is as productive and creative.

Creative Journey - A Daily Dose of Creativity Week 30

I can't believe it's believe I've been doing this for over 30 weeks, it all started here.  I have been doing at least one creative act everyday for 30 weeks now.  There has been days when I haven't taken a picture of what I have done every day but I have been creative.

This week was pretty good in terms of productivity, I've gotten back into the grove with sketching plus working on my crocheting. I'm keeping the momentum going. I've got a goal now to start selling my crochet creations and that is where most of my focus is.

If you want to see what I am up to on a daily basis you can check me out on facebook or twitter.

Sunday

This isn't my work, the kids had the faces/arm painted at the ROM today and I picked up a lot of tips and pointers from this artist.  Did you see all the awesome face paints in the background?

Made a yummy glazed ham for dinner

And I finished 1 bow and almost done a second one.

I hope everyone had a creative and productive week, and the upcoming week is as productive and creative.

Artful Swimming

I did my second workout this morning. I did the 750m in 15 minutes there about (I'm going to take a stopwatch with me next time so I can get a true time). I did 1500m this morning. I am sore, it was hard but about halfway through the swim I started to thank God for giving me the strength to do this and it got easier. I found an extra reserve of energy to get through the workout. I also weight myself this morning and I'm down 1lb from Wednesday. I probably shouldn't read too much into that but I have been walking a few times a week as well.

I also wanted to share some more of my art work I have done lately. I can see improvements in it. I was listening to a blog last week and they mention that Picasso had 400 paintings by the time he was 14 so by the time we get introduced to his work he had many more. Practice makes perfect, and I'm practicing, alot.

This is one I did of Tutu.

This is one inspired by an ad.

I have also started doing portraits of co-workers to hone my skills. I'm still learning and do get better with each one. I have found that people are critiquing my work and telling me what I've done wrong. These are people who can't even draw a straight line. Instead of encouraging me they want to crush me. I ignore them, if it's construct criticism I take it. I have a coworker J who is also into art like me and we share, inspire and critique each other.

Big changes happening in my life. I'm exciting what is going to become of all this. May you have a blessed day.

Birthday Party

After a week of prepping, Muffin's party was yesterday. I think it was a big success, the kids had fun playing with each other, we played pin the tail on the donkey and did face painting. The mothers, we got to talk and hang out which was nice. We enjoyed a feast of cabbage rolls, pierogies (potato & cheese and sauerkraut), chicken sticks, and salad. The cake as a big hit and there was none left for my usual day after party breakfast. Next time I have to make a bigger cake for everyone to enjoy.

The Birthday Girl

The failed balloon drop (that the kids enjoyed anyways)
